What is the Skills in Demand visa Subclass 482?

Australia's employer-sponsored temporary work visa - officially the Skills in Demand (SID) visa, which replaced the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) in December 2024. Three streams: Core Skills (CSOL occupation, min. $76,515/yr), Specialist Skills (min. $141,210/yr), and Labour Agreement. Core Skills grants up to four years; Specialist Skills up to five years.

What does my employer have to do?

Apply to become an approved Standard Business Sponsor, then nominate your specific role. They must pay at least CSIT and market rate, and the SAF levy. Matilda manages sponsorship and nomination documentation - your employer doesn't navigate DHA on their own.
